Will the Pagani Zonda Revolucion really be the last one?

It’s very hard to say goodbye. As we can see at Pagani, it’s very hard to say goodbye to the Zonda. That’s not such a big problem until we remind that the successor, the Huayra is already presented. This car starts to get more and more popular and more and more Huayra’s appear on Autogespot but Pagani keeps building more limited Zonda’s. If we have to believe Pagani, this is the last Zonda. Meet the Pagani Zonda Revolucion!

The Zonda Revolucion is based on the Zonda R. Instead of the 750 hp, produced by the V12, it now produces up to 800 hp and 730 Nm of torque! The power and torque keep increasing but the weight stays the same. The car weighs around 1000 kilograms, 1070 kilograms to be precise. The Revolucion can be driven on a few ways, from quite comfortable to a true killer. Bosch developed a stability program which has twelve different modes. The downforce can also be changed by a button on the steering wheel. The Revolucion has some sort of DRS system which we know from Formula 1. On the straights it can decrease the wing to generate less downforce and a higher speed.

Four of the five Revolucions are already sold. Remarkable because the price of this car is up to 2.2 million Euros excluding taxes. This shows that there’s still interest in a limited Zonda. Will this really close the chapter of this icon or can we expect another version in a few months? Only time will tell.
