Why are the Elvas so rarely seen?

While we've seen numerous Monzas, the Elvas remain extremely rare. Even though they've been around for a few years now, we've only encountered eleven different specimens.

When it comes to deciding which is more popular, the Monza or the Elva, for most people, the answer is clear: the Ferrari. The design of the Monza is just a bit more abstract and timeless, and that's likely what sets it apart. While the Monza is equipped with Ferrari's legendary V12 engine, the McLaren comes with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine producing 815 horsepower. The top speed for the Monza is only 299 km/h, whereas the Elva boasts an impressive 330 km/h.

When they planned the Monza, they designed both a single-seater and a two-seater. The Elva could only be ordered as a two-seater, but you could also get it with a windshield. Only 146 Elvas were built in total, compared to 499 Monzas. Which one would you choose?
