Veneno, One:1 and Bugatti Veyron are being impounded

Teodorin Obiang, son of the dictator president of Equatorial-Guinea, loves nice cars. That isn’t so hard to understand, right? Unfortunately he uses money beloning to the state to fund his expensive hobby. This caused the fact that a fair share of his collection was impounded in 2011. Now, 5 years later, it seems to have happened again…

Just yet, the Facebook-page Hypercars Daily showed a video in which you see a white Veneno, a Bugatti Veyron and a Koenigsegg One:1 (with chassis number #111) being towed away. Little is known about the causing effect of the impounding, but I suspect it’s another case of a corruption investigation again. The cars were spotted more than once on the streets of Geneva, so it’s kind of a bummer they are being taken away. On the other hand, it’s very good that people like Teodorin receive a clear message: When your country is sort of dying, you don’t just go around and buy expensive stuff when you can also feed the mouths of thousands of people. Let’s hope the cars are being auctioned off soon!
