This F50 is a worthy anniversary spot

After seeing this spot you wonder; what's more difficult. Reaching 2000 spots or spotting an F50? Spotter Rover-Spots did both simultaneously with this gorgeous Ferrari.

We've welcomed this Ferrari F50 quite a few times on Autogespot. Seven times in total. Six of these seven spots were made in the seaside area of Zandvoort. Which is more than, for example, Düsseldorf (2), Berlin (4) and Cannes (5). But not entirely unexpected given the presence of the Circuit Park Zandvoort. A place perhaps more suitable to the F50 than being around boulevards and fashion boutiques.

We probably don't need to list the statistics of the Ferrari cause many would know them by heart. But for the enthusiasts; the F50, unlike its predecessor the F40, was equipped with a V12. The V12, called Tipo F130B, originally had a volume of 3.5 liters and came from the Ferrari 641. The Ferrari 641 was an F1 car with which Ferrari managed to win six grand prix's. The V12's cilinders were drilled till a total capacity of 4.7 liters and as a result the block managed to cough up 519 hp.

The aerodynamic design of the F50 contributed to a very fast acceleration and top speed. The Ferrari goes from 0 to 100 in 3.8 seconds and the speedometer only stops at 312 km/h. A total of 349 were officially produced. Most F50's were red . Rosso Corsa (302) and Rosso Barchetta (8). Further the F50 came out of the factory in yellow, (Giallo Modena, 31), silver (Argento Nurburgring, 4) and black (Nero Daytona, 4). All in all a beautiful car that served as Rover-Spots its 2000th anniversary spot.
