Yes, it will come really! The Porsche 960, for most better known as the FeFi, will rewrite the rulebook of supercars within a few years. The rumors say its main rivals will be the Ferrari 458 Italia, but also the F12berlinetta and Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4. This all sounds good, but it still doesn’t sound impressive without feat of arms.
Porsche takes this project extremely serious and renew things on massive foot. They even abandon the flat-six and replace it for a 3.9 liter eight cylinder. This engine won’t be helped by a turbo, nor two, nor three. Now you might think: ‘Then this engine will be atmospheric’. In that case you’re wrong, because under the bonnet of the 960 four turbo’s will help the engine rising power. This combination will be good enough to provide at leat 650 bhp, but if you want to take on the F12berlinetta and Aventador LP700-4 you must have more than that. However, with the aim to keep the weight below 1500 kilograms it will get away from its place very quick, also when there are corners up ahead. Sadly we have to wait for quite some time, until 2017. Then we will wait the exact specs of this model!
