Worldwide, the 996 series of the 911 is considered the most unpopular, for some plausible reasons. However, here we see a car that should be anything but unloved.

When the 996 was introduced to the market in 1997, it was a shock for Porsche fans worldwide. On the one hand, it was the very first Porsche 911 that was no longer air-cooled, but rather water-cooled like pretty much every other car on the market. The second shocking reason was, of course, its extremely modern design at the time, which differed drastically from its predecessor. Many fans did not like the much larger shape and the no longer round headlights. Porsche also quickly realized that this couldn't be the solution and then reintroduced the coveted round headlights with the 997.
Nevertheless, there were some remarkable models of the 996. On the one hand, there were the very first GT models like the GT3, GT2, and the famous GT1. The GT2 we see here was a brute force machine at the time. Here we see a particularly special example painted in mint green. PTS was extremely rare at that time and accordingly more expensive than today. The combination of this fresh color and the somewhat aging 996 makes this GT2 incredibly beautiful.
