The brand new Mercedes-Benz Vision EQXX prototyp shows up in Munich

Some time ago, Mercedes had the grand unveiling of their new prototype, the Mercedes-Benz Vision EQXX. This week, it was introduced at the IAA in Munich. Unlike other concept vehicles, this one has road approval, allowing it to take a spin around Munich.

Thanks to its exceptional range, electric cars are now suitable for almost any journey, contributing to increasing general acceptance. By reducing battery size and weight, efficiency is improved, allowing us to go further with less effort. Mercedes-Benz is determined to take a leading role. With the EQS boasting 245 kW, they are already leading in terms of real-world range, as demonstrated in the recent Edmunds test where an EQS 450+ covered 422 miles on a single charge, 77 miles farther than any other car previously tested.

Some time ago, Mercedes unveiled the Mercedes-Benz Vision EQXX prototype. It consumes more than 10 kWh per 100 kilometers. With a single charge, it achieves a range of more than 1,000 kilometers (620 miles), all with a battery that fits even in a compact car. The design of this car is entirely streamlined, and unlike other conventional cars, this prototype doesn't feature an active rear spoiler but rather an active rear diffuser. This is something quite new and unprecedented.
