The development of models always keeps on going in the automotive world. BMW does this too. At Paris they didn’t bring anything special, but we now know that they are busy testing the new X5 with the codename F15. Spotter Obmal8 saw and photographed it on the Mont Ventoux in France.
Before the car can be found at the dealerships, there are a lot of hours spend on improving the new car. The car will be tested with extreme cold, extreme heat, daily traffic but also with a trailer on a steep road in the Alps to see if it will reach the top. Of course the X5 will manage to do this, BMW doesn’t exactly use their smallest engines for this car. At this testing model we can see an M-package despite it is camouflaged quite well. We don’t know anything about the engines of the X5 F15, but you can expect a 2.0-liter and 3.0-diesel. Also a 4.4-liter V8 twin turbo petrol engine will find its place in the X5. We have to wait until the IAA in Frankfurt in next years’ autumn. Or maybe we can see the SUV already in Geneva?
