Spotted in London: Gumpert Apollo

The Apollo, a name which reminds you of the moon missions by the United States back in the sixties and seventies. Still, it’s also the name of a sports car, a real hardcore sports car. The Gumpert Apollo is quite a rare car on Autogespot so when a copy is uploaded we definitely highlight it.

It’s the sixteenth spot of the Gumpert Apollo on Autogespot since the first copy was spotted on 23 july 2007 in France. Now, spotter mahmoodansari spotted the following copy in the city of London. The car was spotted in a great combo, we also see a Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 and a bright green Audi R8 on the pictures.

The Gumpert Apollo is the most uncomfortable one by far. You have to be very agile to get in the car and once you’re behind the steering wheel you can’t expect any comfort. In return, you’ll get a lot of horsepower and a great handling. The Apollo is powered by a 4.2 liters V8, coming from Audi. This engine produces 650 hp and 850 Nm of torque. With a weight of only 1100 kilograms it makes the car sprint to 100 kph in just three seconds. When you keep flooring the pedal you’ll reach 200 kph in 5.9 seconds and eventually you’ll reach a top speed of 360 kph.

When this performance isn’t impressing you, you can always choose for the stronger and faster Apollo S which has an extra 100 hp.
