Scoop spotted: Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 Spyder

When you’ve seen the Belgium Spot of the Day from last Tuesday, you probably already noticed that it was a scoop. Spotters ‘de Vlaamsche Spotters’ were able to spot this Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 Spyder. We can add another car on our list of scoops!

The Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 Spyder was presented on 16 November 2011 on the car show of Los Angeles. They presented the car as the convertible version of the Gallardo LP550-2 Valentino Balboni. As the name says, the car has a 550 bhp strong V10 engine. This power isn’t release on four wheels but only two wheels. This makes the car perfect to drift, drive fast and maybe even crash. The acceleration from 0-100 km/h takes place in only 4.2 seconds. This is 0.2 seconds slower as the Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder, but the LP550-2 Spyder has ten bhp less. You never have to complain about the top speed of Lamborghini’s. The maximum speed is 319 km/h. The Gallardo LP550-2 Spyder is a limited edition but we don’t know how many copies will be made. You can recognize the LP550-2 on the LP550-2 badge on the side of the car, just in front of the rear wheels. Besides this, all exterior characteristics are the same as the Gallardo LP570-4 Spyder. For the distrustful spotter we have the evidence at 6.38 in the following movie.
