It will take a while before we will see the M2 on the streets but soon the first spyshots of this car will be made. The M2 will be developed around the Nürburgring by the BMW engineers and drivers like those who race in DTM, who will test the car on the track. BMWblog.com made a rendering of what the M2 will look like. Looking at the lines of the M3 and M4, this could be a very close call!
When you look at the M3 and M4 you will see several lines which can be copies to the M2. You would think that BMW only widens the fenders and installs a new set of bumpers. Under the hood, the most important changes take place. All new technology has to be tested and optimized for a perfect cooperation. Rumors say that the BMW M2 will produce around 380 hp which means that the car won't directly compete with the M3 and M4.
