Pricey and very rare: Koenigsegg CCRX Trevita

When a car manufacturer dares to use the word diamond when they talk about their car they must be very confident about it. Three years ago, Koenigsegg came with the Trevita. With only three copies this is a very rare Koenigsegg. Koenigsegg was very secretive about the cars but now we know where they are, South-Africa, the United States and Switzerland. Three years later, the first copy is finally spotted in Switzerland!

The price of the Trevita started with of ‘only’ 1.6 million Euros. The price of this collector’s item raised to a dozen million. This because of the unique construction of the Koenigsegg. They’ve chosen for a unique technique with the fabrication of the carbon fiber. You can see that on the detail photo of spotter saddict. Trevita stands in Swedish for ‘Three whites’, the number of built Trevita’s. Koenigsegg used a new technique to weave the carbon fiber which creates a diamond pattern. An unique construction which is used for the first time, three years ago. The carbon fiber is called Shimmering Diamond Weave. Even the logo of the CCXR Trevita is carried out in silver. The CCXR Trevita will never become very popular because of the limited media attention it got. But the opening of the press release states that it really is a brilliant car! “When sunlight hits the car, it sparkles like millions of silvery white diamonds infused inside the visible carbon fiber weave bodywork.”
