Just like many places, there are rules at Porsche too. One of them is: Acid Green means hybrid.
Since Porsche started producing hybrid vehicles, their hybrid badge and brake calipers have been painted in Acid Green. It was simply the color of hybrid from the beginning. When the 918 Spyder was introduced in 2013, for the first time, you could have this color painted as PTS (Paint to Sample) on the entire vehicle. The problem was simply that the already quite conspicuous vehicle became even more so by a factor of 100. Therefore, only 10 buyers opted for this conspicuous paint job. Today, of course, you can paint this color on any Porsche, even if it's not a hybrid.
Here we see a specimen that has never been spotted before, looking quite cool with the black wheels and tinted windows.
