It is the big role model for the sports car of the future, the Mercedes-Benz SLS E-Cell also known as Electric Drive. The biggest drawback will be the soundtrack, of course you can’t imitate that properly with some speakers on the outside. Spotter Sander spotted this SLS on the Nordschleife, moved by pure electricity.
In terms of performance there is nothing to complain about. With 533 bhp and 800 Nm of torque you still go from zero to 62 mph in just four seconds, still faster than about 99% of the other traffic. At full speed it of course is not as fast as the petrol-powered SLS with a top speed of 155 mph. Not blistering fast for a supercar, but it could be much worse. This car promises to be a proper electric-powered sportcar, and this is just the beginning.
