The first place where we can see the new Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series isn’t a big show in Europe, but in Los Angeles, USA. The brutal Benz is here to bring thunder on a bright Sunny day. Instead of the normal 571 bhp the SLS AMG Black Series is using 631 bhp, enough to outrun almost any supercar.
We already knew the car from the press photos but now we can see it in real life. With the redline placed on 8000 rpm now has got 631 bhp. Due the use of carbon fiber the weight is reduced with 70 bhp. When you combine this with faster gearchanges you end up with a sprinttime of just 3.5 seconds! In a straight the Black Series eventually loses from the normal SLS with a topspeed of 315 km/h against 317 km/h. Still not quite a serious issue when you buy this car. The yellow monster will be available next June, we have to wait for the price, but expect a price which starts with a three and is followed by five more digits.
