Ferrari has incorporated numerous technological innovations to make this special edition even more agile and faster. Alongside all wheel steering, an updated Side Slip Control (SSC 7.0), and Michelin Sport Cup 2 R tires, the seven-speed dual clutch transmission has been recalibrated, enabling five percent faster shift times. However, the heart and soul of the 812 Competizione and Competizione A lie in their V12 engines!
The key performance figures are as follows: The 6.5 liter naturally aspirated engine delivers an astounding 830 horsepower in this new special edition, making it the most powerful series-produced V12 ever built by Ferrari. Equally impressive is the maximum rev limit raised to an incredible 9,500 rpm - a record for a road legal Ferrari. Compared to the 812 Superfast, the limited edition model boasts an additional 30 horsepower, attributed in part to a new valve control system and exhaust system. Only a naturally aspirated engine can produce such an awe-inspiring tone. Apart from the sheer emotional experience, this special edition is blisteringly fast: It reaches 100 km/h in just 2.85 seconds (compared to the 812 Superfast's 2.9 seconds) and hits 200 km/h in a mere 7.5 seconds (812 Superfast in 7.9 seconds). Ferrari simply states the top speed to be more than 340 km/h. Furthermore, it is highly likely that the 812 Competizione will be the last V12 front-engine Ferrari to remain unencumbered by electrification!
