Henessey Performance achieved a world record!

What kind of performance does a car need to be classified as a really fast supercar? The sprint to hundred kilometers per hour within three seconds is crucial nowadays, it seems. It also seems that the sprint to 200 kph is even more important, or maybe 300 kph. Hennessey Performance’s Venom GT is good in all of these three sprints, very good.

There are few cars which accelerate as fast above the 100 kph as they did below. These cars are the ultimate category of supercars. The Ferrari Enzo is one of them, which needs about ten seconds to reach the 200 kph. A Veyron 16.4 needs only 7.3, and 300 kph can be reached in just 16.8 seconds. The Veyron still isn’t the best car for this trick, because the Swedish Koenigsegg Agera R only needs 14.53 seconds. Another quotation in the Guiness Book of Records. Despite that, the honour is now given to the Hennessey Venom GT, a 1200 bhp strong supercar which can do the same trick in just 13.63 seconds, which a journalist of DRIVE achieved. This makes this car extremely fast, even in an factual aspect. Which car will break this record soon, does anybody have any idea?
