Geneva 2015: Aston Martin Vantage GT3

The only real gentlemen’s racer is an Aston Martin. Normally available as a chic grand tourer but Aston Martin does something special with this Vantage GT3. Only 100 copies will be build of this thoroughbred race car which is still street legal.

The Vantage GT3 is the most imposing Vantage ever built. It looks like this car comes directly from the track. Aston Martin equipped the GT3 with all the technology they gained in the last few years in all sports competitions all over the world. All this knowledge is fitted in a brutal body and 100 lucky customers can enjoy Aston Martin’s amazing project.

Under the hood we see the well-known six liter V12 which produces 600 hp. Technicians of Aston Martin renewed the manifolds, the torque tube and the exhaust sytem. The list of adjustments to the V12 is way longer but especially impressive is the combination of more power and less kilograms. The weight is reduced with 100 kilograms. The total weight is 1.565 kilograms excluding passengers.

The Vantage GT3 looks like a real racer, it can’t be much more extreme. Big carbon fiber front spoilers, a carbon fiber hood, a carbon fiber roof and even the rear window is made out of plastic. Everything on this Vantage GT3 is removed or lightened. The car is wider and lower to realize a higher corner speed. With Michelin Pilot Super Sport, the driver has the maximum grip possible.

The interior breaths pure sportiness with a lot of carbon fiber and alcantara. Even the door handles are replaced by simple copies. The interior is very simple and not as beautiful as the normal Aston Martin interiors. Customers can compose the interior via the Q by Aston Martin program.

Aston Martin will deliver the first copies of the Vantage GT3 during the third quarter of 2015.
