Yesterday, Brazil won the first match in the Arena de São Paulo in São Paulo and this match started the World Cup football 2014. Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull were present at the opening ceremony and we hope to see a lot of amazing football in the next few weeks. We love to see some great football. Just like during EURO 2012, we’ve made a special of the spotted cars of professional football players who will play in Brazil. We have a list of almost fifty cars, varying from Audis to Lamborghini, this is the perfect special for car fanatics who love football! Enjoy the World Cup 2014!
We found cars of up to 18 participating countries. We would like to thank everybody who send in a spot. A missing player on the World Cup is of course Zlatan Ibrahimović. He once owned a Enzo Ferrari and now drives a Porsche 918 Spyder. But there are still plenty of interesting cars left for you. Some of them are already highlighted in our celebrity category while you might not have seen some of the other spots. We did add Frank Ribery’s cars in our list, despite the fact that he got injured just before the World Cup started. His Aventador LP700-4 wasn’t seen on Autogespot before.
It’s great to see that a lot of players switch their cars very easily or keep extending their collection. Samuel Eto’o definitely has the most impressive car collection together with Cristiano Ronaldo. We can see that Sergio Ramos from Spain loves Porsches. In 2012, he owned a Porsche Panamera Turbo and in the following years he was spotted in two other Porsches which can be found in our list. The German international Mesut Özil shows us he has a bit of a bad taste. In our EURO 2012 series he was spotted in a Ferrari 458 Italia Anderson Germany Black Carbon Edition, this time he’s driving a TechArt GrandGT. Football players are known for the fact that they love to personalize their cars. They can do this with a license plate or a completely bodykit from a tuner. Eventually, all players have the same goal in the next few weeks, to win that beautiful cup!
The list is based on the list of groups. If you still find another car which isn’t featured in our list, please send them to emil[at]autogespot.com. We will keep on extending our list!
