Ferrari recently confirmed that their models last four years after which it gets a facelift and is ready for another four years. We haven’t seen any results of this yet, except for the California T. The next model ready for a facelift is the Ferrari 458 Italia. With its new look and more power it’s ready to compete with the McLaren 650S.
Rumors say that the power is boosted to 670 hp. Quite a lot, especially when you image that the F12berlinetta produces only 70 hp extra. Ferrari will have to work hard to make beat the supremacy of McLaren. At this moment, the difference in power between the 458 Italia and 650S is up to 80 hp, which is an enormous difference. The power boost will probably come from a turbo engine, something Ferrari purists probably won’t like. The name for the car will probably be 458M or 458T, but we will probably find out soon. The Geneva Motor Show in March will be the perfect location to introduce the facelift of the 458 Italia!
