New models are never perfect. Always there are some minor mistakes to be found or they can be improved a little bit. Especially the last aspect is the case with the McLaren MP4-12C. The contesters of the Ferrari 458 saw an opportunity to get some extra horspower from the 3,8 liter V8. With 25 bhp extra the total amount is set at 625 bhp, which makes the difference with the Ferrari to be more than 50 bhp! The most beautiful thing of all is that this upgrade is entirely for free.
The increase in power is not the only improvement, McLaren from now on also delivers cars with an automatically opening door at the side of the passenger. The door of the driver could already be opened automatically, but McLaren has found space to build the same system on the other side of the car. We doubt about whether this is really useful in a car that is only made to go through the corners as quickly as possible. McLaren has finally said that the sound of the engine has been improved too. Al these modifications have been put into practice after having received feedback from customers. We now can see that there are indeed manufacturers who do listen to their customers!
