Business is good for Porsche and Bentley in China

In April, Lamborghini told the world that China is more and more important for the Italians. Important is simple attitude because since 2009 the country is booming. Not only Lamborghini of the Volkswagen Group shows good selling numbers. Other brands like Porsche and Bentley are going to achieve record numbers.

China will win from the United States when it comes to selling Bentley’s and Porsches. Jimmy Jin, director of the Marketing Intelligence China said that on a conference of Volkswagen in Wolfsburg. The market in China keeps on growing due the enormous grow of the new riches of the world economy. The numbers we talk about are quite mind boggling. Lamborghini expects to sell 400 cars this year. In 2010 that were just 206 cars, and they didn’t expect a grow for the coming years. The numbers from Bentley are far more impressing, the past few years they are multiplied by fourteen times! In 2011 1779 Bentleys were sold and they expect 2300 for this year. A Porsche almost isn’t an exclusive car anymore in China, Porsche aims for selling 31.000 copies in 2012.

Since Volkswagen AG has become more popular than ever in China, remarkable numbers are noted. The market coverage of the brand has raised to a massive 20.4% from January to August. Compared to 2006 when 627.801 cars were sold, this is enormous. The Europese market for cars is very small when you compare it to the Chinese market. Still, the United Kingdom and Germany are important markets for exclusive cars.
