Bizarre week on the Nürburgring

You can't make an omelette without breaking eggs. A saying that applicable for this week on the Nürburgring. Last Sunday, around 17:00 hours a biker died when he crashed at Fuchsröhre and hit the barriers on full speed. A day later, a big accident happened with a Porsche 997 GT2 in the corner following after Flugplatz.

The accidents had no relation but it does show us that the Nürburgring is a very dangerous track where you always have to be aware for small mistakes. Some people drive on their limits to keep improving their lap times. We don't know whether that was the same with the Porsche GT2 but it's clear that this is a hard crash. There's a small and blind corner in the track, just after Flugplatz where the car hits the barrier and flips over. Luckily, both persons in the car weren't seriously injured. The passenger only has a broken arm, he is very lucky that that's his only injury!
