The most important news from Audi in Detroit is the new RS-model. Audi came up with their imposant RS7 shortly after the RS6 Avant. This is the replacement of the RS6 Sedan, and we are sure we can’t complain!
Audi just released the first pictures of the sportiest A7. Just like the RS6 this model has a biturbo V8 with 560 bhp under the drivers’ right foot. This is less powerful than the previous generation Audi RS6 but the new one is quicker despite that. Only 3.9 seconds are necessary to reach 100 kph, which leaves the BMW M5 F10 far behind. The new E 63 can be a good match for the Audi RS7 if it’s equipped with the 4Matic-system. Audi restricted the topspeed to 250 kph, but with the the Dynamic Plus Package this is increased to 305 kph. Another option is the Dynamic Package, but then the topspeed will only be 280 kph. All this power will be brought to the road by an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
The exterior has got the same main details as the RS6 Avant. A new grill in which we can read Quattro. Big widened wheelarhces, black details and of course the oval exhausts. A carbon fiber package is an optional extra to provide this car of some lightweight details. Inside nothing changed dramatically, everything is perfect like we’re used to from Audi.
