An Enzo Ferrari was parked in Lugano

Lugano is the southernmost city in Switzerland, and accordingly, it remains a popular holiday destination. Interestingly, it seems that Enzo Ferrari himself hails from there. He stood lonely and alone on the roadside.

Gianluca97 must have been quite astonished when he spotted this fine specimen. It is still one of the most impressive Ferraris of modern times.

The Enzo is equipped with a 6.0-liter V12 engine that delivers an impressive 660 PS (651 hp) and 657 Nm of torque. As a result, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in about 3.3 seconds. The top speed of the Ferrari Enzo is approximately 355 km/h (220 mph), making it one of the fastest production vehicles of its time. The Enzo's body is made of carbon fiber and other lightweight materials to reduce weight and improve performance. The car's design is aerodynamic and was heavily inspired by Formula 1.

Ferrari built only 399 units of the Enzo, one of which was made as a gift for Pope John Paul II. Another vehicle was later auctioned, bringing the total production to 400 units. Upon its release, the Ferrari Enzo was extremely exclusive and had a high price of several million US dollars. Over time, the prices for these coveted collector's items have continued to rise.
After the Enzo, Ferrari introduced the LaFerrari as its successor. The LaFerrari had even higher performance and also utilized advanced hybrid technology. Although the Enzo itself was not developed for motorsport, it served as the basis for the Ferrari FXX, a pure racing car for selected customers. The FXX was designed for use on special test tracks and contributed to the development of future models.
