A rare sighting: a yellow 911 R

The Porsche 911 R was produced in limited quantities. In 2016, a new version of the model was manufactured, with only 991 units built.

This Porsche 911 R has been spotted a few times, most recently two years ago in Doetinchem. Now it has finally been sighted again in Rozendaal.

The 911 R stands out for its consistent lightweight construction. It features lighter materials such as aluminum and magnesium to reduce weight and maximize performance.

Unlike many modern sports cars, the Porsche 911 R is equipped with a manual six-speed transmission. This makes the driving experience particularly authentic and appealing to enthusiasts. The 911 R is powered by a 4.0 liter six cylinder boxer engine that delivers an impressive output of around 500 horsepower. This engine enables acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 3.8 seconds. The Porsche 911 R was designed for a sporty driving style and features various enhancements for track use. These include adjustable suspension, ceramic brakes, and a deployable rear spoiler for improved aerodynamics.

The 911 R was designed with a retro inspired look reminiscent of early Porsche 911 models. The vehicle combines modern technology with classic elements to create a unique appearance. Due to its limited production and exclusive nature, the Porsche 911 R has achieved high collector value. Used models are often traded at high prices. Yellow examples like this one are extremely rare to find. In fact, only a very small number were painted in yellow tones, and since most of them still have the R stripes in different colors, many of them are unique.
