Well equipped: FAB Design SLR McLaren Roadster Desire
The Swiss tuner FAB-Design always knows how to beautifully name their creations. The Porsche Cayenne is named the ‘Emperor’, the SLS AMG the Gullstream and for the SLR McLaren a name was created in the form of the word Desire. That's a name that perfectly suits this highly exclusive appearance.
The model is limited, although we don’t know how many copies have been delivered worldwide. There may still be some SLR McLarens that are being modified by FAB-Design. The name fits the car perfectly. Who doesn’t long for such an extreme and rare car like this one? More than 2.000 copies were sold. We assume the amount of Desires will be around a maximum of twenty copies. The SLR McLaren Desire is characterized by a bodykit that mostly consists of round shapes. This gives the bodykit also some kind of elegant look. What is to be found under the hood is less elegant. The 5,4 liters V8 compressor engine has been tuned from 626 bhp to 750 bhp. The torque has increased to 1.080 Nm. Impressive facts. When buying a FAB-Design, your top speed however will be reduced to 193 miles per hour. This is a rather safe speed compared to the 208 miles per hour that Mercedes-Benz has provided us with for the SLR McLaren.
