Only 100 copies will be build of the former Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT3. Former? Yes, former because the car was introduced as GT3 but after a fight with Porsche the name was changed to Vantage GT12. This GT12 was spotted last week while it was doing some testing laps on the Nürburgring.
The car is almost ready and the first copies will soon arrive at their rightful owners. Still Aston Martin needed to do some small tests and what better place to do this than the Nürburgring. Under the hood we find the famous six liter V12 which produces 600 hp. Technicians of Aston Martin renewed the manifolds, torque tube and the exhaust system. The list of adjustments to the V12 engine is even bigger. Especially impressive is the combination of more power and less kilograms, 100 kilograms less to be exact. The total weight of the car is 1.565 kilograms excluding passengers.
