When you think that the Porsche 918 Spyder is quite an impressive car you should see some of Porsche's older cars. Back in the days Porsche was even more extreme with this 996 GT1. This car breaths racing and will shake the ground beneath your feets when it passes. In Basel, Switzerland a new copy was spotted.
Although the photos seem to be quite old it's still amazing to see that this car is used on the streets. The 996 GT1 was build for homologation for the racing model. Porsche built only 25 copies of this car. The GT1 produces up to 537 hp but is capable of way more power. Porsche had to downgrade the engine's power for the emission restrictions. You can sprint to 100 kph in 3.9 seconds and the car has a top speed of 308 kph. We can still enjoy a car like this, how about you?
