Elegant Bugatti Veyron Black Bess is spotted in Dubai

Bugatti's year of 2014 was all about the last Les Légendes editions. A two-year program where they refer to the history of Bugatti with a series of limited Veyrons. The Black Bess is a homage to the small Type 18. Only three copies are built and the first copy is now spotted in Dubai!

While Bugatti prefers a sporty look for the other 1.200 hp strong versions, the Les Légendes are all about style. The Black Bess is the fifth model in a series of six models. The Type 18 'Black Bess' can be found in the history books as one of the first street legal supercars. It's one of the most important prewar Bugattis which was way ahead of its time. A five liter four cylinder engine producing over 100 hp results in a top speed of 160 kph. That's just incredible for a car in 1912. Founder of Bugatti, Ettore Bugatti managed to win the Mont Ventoux Hill Climb in 1912 with the Black Bess. Only seven copies were built of which only three still exist.

The bodywork of the Black Bess Vitesse is made out of carbon fiber but painted in black. With the golden accents they refer to its predecessor and it gives the Veyron a very stylish look. In the Middle East, this is the ultimate expression of wealth. Some parts of the Bugatti are made out of 24 carat gold including the grill. The interior isn't filled with carbon fiber but you will only find leather and wood. The interior is finished with drawings of the Type 18 as a homage to this special car.
