Driven: Lamborghini LP550-2 Spyder on Spa-Francorchamps

An invitation to drive the track is one you cant refuse. There are no traffic rules and you can drive as fast as you want. We recently had the chance to drive the track of Spa-Francorchamps with a Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 Spyder. Driving with a speed of 220 km/h through Eau Rouge is an awesome but scary moment.
Without any introduction we step in the Gallardo. We get some instructions about the track on the last moment and the tell us to keep up if you can. We adjusted our seats to the correct position and we were ready. The Gallardo is started and it is time to enter the track. When driving out the pits the instructor immediately set the pace. He hits the gas and we have to try to keep up. We decide to take it easy on the first laps and get used to the car.
The alcantara steering wheel makes the car feel good. The E-Gear gearbox also feels very good. It makes the LP550-2 shift gears very easily. At the end of the straight we already reached 250 km/h. What an amazing sound produces the V10 behind us. Not only the power is amazing but the sound of the car is also amazing. This is a perfect way to spend your day!
The first lap, we made it! The Gallardo is perfectly balanced and its quite easy to control the 550 bhp of the car. We accelerate and reach 220 km/h when we reach Eau Rouge. The instructor goes through Eau Rouge full throttle but we slow down a bit. The LP550-2 is a very capable car and it drives amazing. Corners are no problem for the Gallardo. Hit the brakes, steer and hit your pedal at the apex. It was the only way to keep up a little with the instructor. We thought we were quick but it looks like he was born in a Gallardo!
Though this day is an awesome experience. The track is amazing as well as the car. The Gallardo is an amazing car and we are very curious what its successor will be like. The Gallardo is at its end and its time for something new. Not because the Gallardo cant keep up anymore but because we know what Lamborghini is capable of when we look at the Aventador LP700-4. The LP55-2 sprints to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and it has a maximum speed of 319 km/h. This is more than enough to keep up with all the other supercars. Driving extremely fast without a roof, we think it cant get any better?
