Aston Martin Rapide only wants electric power

Aston Martin is searching for alternative fuels for quite a while already. Two years ago they were driving their hydrogen Rapide on the Nürburgring during the 24H on the Nürburgring. Now they developed a completely electric version of the Rapide.

The electric engine produces just as much power as the V12, according to Aston Martin. This means that the car must produce 550 hp. The V12 in the front is removed and the necessary components are installed to make it able to drive. The batteries are placed in the center console and the car is powered by electric engines on the rear axle. The official introduction of the model is planned in 2017 but Aston Martin does show us that they're working on the development of this car. Next to that they're also working on the DB11.
